AVA MAJUMDAR

Ava is a London-based documentary filmmaker and photographer whose work explores themes of community, belonging and identity. She currently works professionally as a producer/director at a social enterprise film production company in Dalston which works to diversify the film industry by running free training courses for underrepresented young people. She directs, produces and shoots short-form video content for artists, charities and institutions. 


She holds a first-class BA degree from Goldsmiths University in Media and Communications specialising in documentary film and her final project won best documentary at an international film festival. She has undertaken training in cinematography at Raindance Film School and archive producing at Four Corners.
