Ava is a London-based documentary filmmaker and photographer whose work explores themes of community, belonging and identity. She currently works professionally as a producer director at a social enterprise film production company in Dalston which works to diversify the film industry by running free training courses for underrepresented young people. She directs, produces and shoots short-form video content for artists, charities and institutions.
She holds a first-class BA degree from Goldsmiths University in Media and Communications specialising in documentary film and her final project won best documentary at an international film festival. Her photography has featured in arts magazines. She was chosen to participate in the Sheffield DocFest 2025 Amplify Production Talent Scheme. She has undertaken training in cinematography at Raindance Film School and archive producing at Four Corners.
